We would like to take this moment to welcome Forefront Technologies (http://www.forefronttechnologiesinc.com) as an advertising sponsor of Amiga.org. Their demonstrated support of this site is greatly appreciated and it is only through the support of existing companies such as Forefront Technologies, Genesi, Hyperion, Elbox, and Fore-matt computing that Amiga.org is able to continue.

Yeah :-D

Great news! :-)
Any news on those Radeon drivers? :-D
-
Congratulations :)
:pint: :-D
-
How many sponsors does that make now?
It grows all the time and I think will continue to grow.
BTW, skipped a week on the alexa stats, but
amiga.org still #1, and in the top 100k now.
Will update next week.

Fantastic!! Bravo Forefront!

I don't know if it's "news", but the current status is:
They are operational. We've had Workbench running on them. The driver is going out for beta testing next.
-
Heck yeah it's news:-) Good news too.
Oh BTW: Real nice looking banner, very eye catching.

great news . :-D

Okay, sorry to ask, but . . .
Will they be able to do 3D?

Thank you. Our graphic artist was very good about providing all the pieces she used in her look-and-feel (fonts, vector-based images, pantone colors, etc). It's made it very easy for us to use those components to create high-quality stuff on our own while maintaining the same look-and-feel.

Forefront is only doing the 2D drivers, Hyperion will be doing the 3D drivers.

Great! What kind of system are they being developed on? What cards are working so far (I guess in PCI form)?

Luv ur avatar Blomberg :-D .

Was it on Prometheus, the AmigaONE, Mediator or all three?
-
@Bodie
Why thank you :-D
I just had to nick that before someone else did :-D
-
Welcome :-)

Well played forefront.
@all:
At the risk of jinxing the whole shooting match, I put it to you that things are looking up, albeit ever so slightly.

Slightly? I'd have to say more than slightly. The fact that I have a real product sitting on my desk that works and didn't cost me my first born child is incredible enough:-) Then there's the fact it works damn good.
Now OS4 is going to be demoed and things may actually be wrapping up? Everyone should be happy.

The development systems are 2 A3000s with Prometheus PCI bridges. One has a Radeon SDR card, and the other has a Radeon 7000 DDR card. The intention is to support as many Radeon models as possible, though these two are the only ones we've actually run the driver on thus far. That should change very soon, as we're about to go into beta testing.
