Several events will take place on:

June,  7th, BOF Multimedia Store, Ljubljana, Slowenia

Also you will find various AmigaOne G3/G4 Machines on the show.

More surprises are on schedule.

Please visit http://www.oase.at/amigaos4ontour.html (http://www.oase.at/amigaos4ontour.html) and our partner web sites for more information.

We are looking forward to see you at the show(s)!

Hope it goes well. I especially hope OS4 actually looks good on the night and puts on a good performance.

Am I reading this right? They will be demostrating OS4 running PPC native? Not 68k? That's a big deal :-)

The hell with the UK ... Holland is the place to be.

I have a feeling OS4 won't take long anymore ...

Well, with Hyperion not wanting to show off a semi-working product I expect OS4-CSPPC to be out of betatesting by mid June at the very leatest if I'm not mistaken. But of course, I'm both biased, naive and speculating.

Wish I could say that DK IS the center of the Amiga world - but alas that would be pure dreaming ;-)

Here's just wishing that it won't be long :-D

It's GOT to be possible to organize something in Scandinavia. I'll bring the beer and the moose, someone just fire up the CSPPC and the barbeque is ON!!!

Boing!!! That seems to be what they are saying. OS4.0 on a Cyberstorm. "When it's done" could turn into "Real soon now"
I am looking forward to the show reports to see how this goes.

Yippie! (Dances on the spot)  :-)

Seriously guys - We know how hard you've been working on OS4.0, so good luck with the shows!

Looks like I'll be popping over to France then.

This is great news, but it would be cool to have official confirmation about this by Hyperion. It was said that they were very anxious about first impressions and that they find the first demo very important.

So is the slovenian show the first public appearance, and if yes will Hyperion be at the show? I think this is important.

It's not a whole moose, silly.

If you stop to think about it,  moose marinated in Olegils special recipe barbeque sauce and fried _just_ right can be a taste of heaven ;-)

I kid you not. Amen.

The best bet for a UK demo of OS4 would be if MicroMart were running another computer fayre in Birmingham.

Lots of people turned up last time and with Sven Harvey's weekly coverage, there would be lots of opportunity for (cheap) mass advertising, especially with people who mighthave CPPCs hanging around.

Read the English verion (http://www.amiga-klub.si/aot2003.php?lang=en) of the Slovenian show and it shows "With: Hyperion Entertainment, Amiga Inc."

But I know what you mean...It would be nice to hear it from Hyperion themselves.

I'm a bit surprised by the response, or better the lack of response from the Amiga community.

I mean, isn't this the news we have all been waiting for? To actually see what they have worked on for the last one and a half year? To see the new design, gui, maybe new icons? To see workbench booting on the new kernel,...?

Or am i missing something here? Okay, it is not the AmigaOne version but isn't this a big step anyway? It seems that the Amiga community wants bad news more than good news?

Hopefully, the interview with Ben Hermans will tell us a bit more.

We are some guys working on a show/presentation in Copenhagen. That's Scandinavia and we look forward to see you and Juzz there :)

No details are set yet, but I will meet with the others at the end of the month to get some planning done.

I will keep everyone posted, here and on www.amiga.dk

I was in Copenhagen last summer, and enjoyed it !
Maybe an OS4.0 presentation there will decide me to come back once again !

As a french, I'm not a good patriot... I won't go to Toulouse, I do prefer the Scandinavian way of life...
I'm fed up with all those french girls throwing at yourself shouting all kinds of dirty things...   :-o

I am too, really.  But I think most are either
1) hesitant to get too excited "yet once more for nothing"
or
2) are reserving comments until something is actually shown, since we've has so many failed hopes in the past.

I fall somewhere in those catagories.... While I'll be the first to cheer when it is shown fully running, I'll also wait cautiously until that time.  We've speculated too much over the years....it's time to wait until you see the product... (although, I'll admit to the excitement building in anticipation)

Well, I'll just again paraph-paste from what I said elsewhere, hoping that the sentiment is understood and appreciated. I've often remarked that I have a great respect for the Frieden brothers...

I look forward to seeing the actual AOS4 getting exposure as a running operating system. I feel at that time perhaps a healthy competitive impetus can overtake the frequent skirmishes and potshots coming from all sides, and that the competitive bent between MorphOS and AOS teams will have both scrambling like mad to improve their work - and busy adding features and services that make up mature modern OSes.

May both OSes progress quickly and concretely! {paper OSes make fine kites ; }   Congrats and salutations, Hyperion and associates! Hope to see the actual item, soon  : }

@z5

From my viewpoint, it's a marketing ploy, and a ploy that's coming far
too late to gain interest.

In short, their market is dying.

They need a very dramatic first showing in order to make AOS4 sell
even 1k copies.

as you work for the competition, i won't even bother replying to your 'neutral' post.

By the way, if their market is dying, so is yours. It's the same.

Agreed.  And they've already effectively sold over 1000 copies to those who paid the Club Amiga membership.  That doesn't even begin to touch on the ones who want OS4 but were not willing to join the club.  OS4 does not have a shrinking market, no matter how much they would like you to believe it (ever heard the term "grasping at straws"?).

Even many of those who have bought a Pegasos still express wanting it ported, and others say they will buy both.  In the end, I think OS4 will grow beyond expectations.

I've just got back from Sweden and I must say that if you guys can organise something in Scandanavia, count me in. Only £44 return to Gothenberg (inc tax). Similar prices at the moment for Oslo, Malmo and Stockholm. Aarhus is even cheaper.
It's cheaper to fly to Scandanavia than it is for me to get a train to the centre of England, if there was to be a show over here.
Although, I'm also tempted to go out to Italy as well........................................
