Dunno if this has been reported already but Amiga Forever has just had a new point release - 5.2 is now using the 0.8.22 Release 6 build of UAE - more info at www.cloanto.com
Works great for me - I had issues using the AGA chipset with UAE/Amiga Forever previously which seem fixed in this release - AF just keeps getting better and better!

AmigaForever is a program that I just use all the time ( well you know what I mean ). They seem to have tweaked the speed again in this release, it seems quicker.
Glad that such a good program is supported so well.

Hmm, am I missing something here? Why don't you just download the newest WinUAE from winuae.net?
The AForever package is only good for the licensed ROMs & WB disks, the emulator is usually outdated already when it hits the shelves. :-)

Often the latest emulator has bugs and regressions. I used to do this until a version came out on winuae.net that just refused to work with my Cloanto installation.
Cloanto do that bit of testing that means you don't have to worry about it. Some choose to take the risk and reap the benefits others would rather just not be bothered about the panic that results when nothing works.

Great emulator, i prefer Amithlon but for hardware hitting programs WinUAE is superb.
WinUAE developers are doing a great job.

AmigaForever, also comes with Personal Paint 7, as well as some other bundled software, a licensed copy, not shareware, of Picasso 96.
This in addition to the bundled ROM's, makes it a better deal than WinUAE, of course, you can do both.
Cloanto is one of the good guy's, and this package is a good deal. I have bought AmigaForever twice...I lost the keyfile one time and found it easier just to purchase it again....
now I won't do that again, but if someone has never bought AmigaForever and they own a Mac or PC, they should go for it. It's worth it.

WinUAE has a rather different license agreement, so you can't really compare the deals you're getting from the two. :-D (as in basically no deals with WinUAE :-)

Oh yes, definitely. Even if it only had the OS licenses it'd still be a great deal.
I was just wondering why you upgraded WinUAE by buying another copy of AForever.. But it seems I did miss something.. You didn't say that you lost your keyfile and that was the reason you bought it again. :-)

Wow DaveP, we can agree on something atleast. =)

Sounds good :-)
On a side note: Any of you guys ever get jabberwocky (http://jabberwocky.amigaworld.de/) working on the more recent Winuae/ AmigaForever?
I havent tried it in quite some time and wondered if the more recent versions has helped it any.

Amiga Forever is the best solution on the market today for running Amiga applications, such as our own ImageFX and Aladdin 4D, under Windows.
