Title: BochsGUI available for download

Attention-Software has just published a GUI for Bochs, the Windows emulator for MorphOS.



Some of the features are:
-Screenmode requester that automatically enters the correct HexDec Mode
-Mount floppy or hardfile images as if they were morphos volumes
-Easy selecting og Bios/VGABios
-Easy selecting of floppy images and disk images
-Keeps track of entered hardfile information
-Auto-download and install of necessary programs

The GUI is downloadeable from the Attention-Software website (http://www.attention-software.com).

Please note that the GUI is compiled to 68K code for now, this will change in the future.

Bochs is a highly portable open source IA-32 (x86) emulator and capable of running most Operating Systems inside the emulation including Linux, Windows® 95, DOS, and recently Windows® NT 4.

its not a windows emulator for morphos

Hello catohagen,

I don't think Palpatine did mean his news post like it was an exclusively Windows emulator.
But I think that the most important emulation with Bochs is Windows and that is why he stated only the Windows emulation.

then you are going to have to wait a loooong time

anyone is better of using PC-Task 4.4 (this includes
x86 user's PC-Task is probably quite a bit faster under
UAE-JIT than Bochs is under the same hardware).

Well, this gui works very nice! :-D
It starts Bochs and closes every opened window after shutting down Bochs.

Perhaps somebody wants to make such a nice frontend for UAEPPC? :-D

I like to disagree on that, pctask on a 060
won't be much faster, and under UAE it depends
on the GH of the machine anyway pctask only runs
win95 / 3.10 ..

And i heard that ppl where working on JIT
code for bochs.. who know's.. ;)
