Title: Delfina in production
Post by: Kees on March 19, 2003, 11:19:20 PM
Individual Computers will attend the AmiGB 2003 show (http://www.amigbg.com/startsida/) in Gothenburg - Sweden wich will be held 29th of march.

"With a little luck, we'll have our latest product in our luggage: After an extremely long wait, the soundcard Delfina went into production ...

The most important change is probably the split of the product into two boards. The updated product description confirms what many people already assumed since the Catweasel MK3 PCI/Flipper is out: The new Delfina is a combined Zorro/PCI card. The first stage of this high-end soundcard will be available in Germany starting April 7th, 2003.

Hehe.. I love Delfina.. look at my nick.. hehe, then you know I love DelfinaDSPlite :) Wich I've got!

Its really cool! Good sound and its got fully supported mp3 thru hardware players and devices.

DelfMPEG is a cool player
Amplifier supports hardware mp3 player thru delfinampeg.device and I've also heard that AmigaAMP also supports it.

With FroggerNG you can play mpeg movies, with help of DelfinaDSP too, really handy! And if you want to listen to a MP3 radio. Amplifier supports it fully.

Come to AmiGBG! This will be a fun show and I hope that someone visits Amitopias stand too :)

Regards,
AmiDelf

OS4/AudioEvolution support

As long there are AHI drivers, I assume it will work fine on AE. Previous Delfina cards had problems when using sample rates other than 48000 Hz, so it's nice to see it has direct 44.1KHz support as well now.

Does it help with the movie decoding, or just the audio?

Interesting...PCI would be so much better than the
clockport hook - up (for the 1200)...good news for
Mediator owners I suppose.
