Well it is to be offically released with the A1 at the CBit show, so at the very latest March.

But from what I understand at the WoASE show, we should have it in the early part of next year (Jan time)
-
Personally I hope to see it ASAP I've ordered my A1 XE G4.
But to be more realistic I think it will be around the time of the CeBit show in March, which will be the Official Release.

I would like to see a status update so we know just whats left to do... just curious.

Saying that however, Nov2001 to March2003 including writing the Bios and taking on contractual MAC & Linux work to keep the project going is quite an achievment.

It's down for 'first quarter 2003"

So march time could be right. I hope for earlier - feb maybe?

Of course, software, especially an OS is prone to delays  ;-)

				Thx for replies guys :-)

I hope to enjoy it early than March.... :-)

				I can't wait!!! Arhggg!
 Be patient(talking to myself)

 PonOS4 :-o

Never mind when! Is OS4 going to run on my ageing BlizzardPPC / BVision setup or is it targeted at the AmigaOne systems only? I'm pretty strapped for cash so won't be able to get myself a G4 for some time yet :-(

My understanding is that they are having difficulty obtaining docs for Blizzard hardware, so it's unlikely.
Initially it will run on Cyberstorm, then A1.

BTW, you do know you can order a G3 for a fair bit cheaper?
-
OS4 for CybPPC has been delayed to at least
 January 15th 2002 (KDH).

-
My best estimate is that OS4 will ship to end users in posession of AmigaOne systems in mid January 2003.

I have great doubt that BlizzardPPC Amigas will be supported, but CyberStorm boards will be supported.
So if you own an A1200, you're GUTTED.
-
I don't want to run Linux so I am waiting on my A1 purchase until I know for sure OS4 is comming out. I had my credit card # in the system at Eyetech and my mouse over the sumbit button for a long time but desided to wait.

I hope its soon though and I really hope it's worth the wait.

My understanding is that OS4 is only going to be released as OEM to licenced hardware producers/distributors (read: Eyetech and nobody else). This as a way of preventing it from being pirated, together with the hardware dongle. Speaking of that, has you seen any dongled firmware on the Blizzard/Cyberstorm boards lately?

Check out METAL's Avatar, ehehehe.  That's nice ;-)

Well, I hope to see both Morph and AmigaOS run on one of the same HW platforms.  I would like to try both out.  Call me  a fool, but MorphOS also looks like a quality product.  Saying that, I am not slighting OS4 by any means.  I'de just like to give both a "drive around the block."

However, I do say, "The sooner the better!"
