Hmm, the document comes up empty here...guess I'll try again in an hour or so. :-/

LOL!!!!
I posted this before I actually followed the link!
That`ll teach me! :-D
-
It's online now, 20 pages of it. I'm off to read it ('bout smegging time they made an update)...:-)
> That`ll teach me! :-D
Heh, don't worry. I'm quite impressed that you managed to report it before they had uploaded it completely. :-)

If only I had a link...... :-o

@Hondo_DK
Did you pay your club membership? If not, then I'm going to have to play the "Link Nazi."(a la the Soup Nazi from the show Seinfeld)
No Link For You! :-P

@Hondo_DK:
If you are a Club Amiga member, it should be quite easy to find. Just go to os.amiga.com and follow the link in the relevant news item.
I'm currently reading about the new AmiDock, and I must say WOW! What was once a simple dock utility has become a program control power tool. This is actually worth the $50 I paid for it...:-D

Ok.
Im Happy chappy now and will continue to "WAIT 20" lol.
Wonder how much the ...................... Will cost.
edited.... might be giving something away that I shouldn't

Done reading through it! I must say this newsletter strikes me as being a very good idea. It's well-written, informative, and motivating. The bit I liked the most in this issue was the one about AmiDock and application.library. If any OS4 developers are reading this, I'd like to ask: Who came up with the idea of application.library? Whoever it was deserves a medal and a cash price. :-D

I'll be honest, I've never found the AmiDock that useful a tool in so far as I've used it. Maybe an enhanced one will be more impressive.

Well, I use the 3.9 version as my main way of starting applications. It's a simple program which does the job well.
> Maybe an enhanced one will be more impressive.
It WILL. The new version is a lot (and I mean a LOT) more flexible, and thanks to application.library, it will offer functionality which has previously been sorely missing in AmigaOS.

Ahhh the good ole soup Nazi. One of my favorite episodes.
-
I have the 3.9 version, and just found it gets in the way. Now, if they enhance it, with say OS/2's Taskbar, or even NeXT's taskbar functionality, then it might be useful.

> I have the 3.9 version, and just found it gets in the way.
That sounds mighty odd to me. I think it is totally unobtrusive. It just sits at the bottom of my WB, giving me one-click access to 22 of my most frequently used programs.

Haven't used those OS's, what functionality are you thinking of? Anyway, I find it kind of odd that you don't find a dock utility which works properly the least bit useful. Then again, you didn't think getting SNAP integrated in OS4 was very useful either.

I read the newsletter and it has some rather interesting information. :)
I am in the process of getting myself an AmigaONE G4 (800mhz) system. Has anyone built one using the motherboard and parts? Would it be best to order a system already put together by a dealer??
I want to run OS 4, it looks to be shaping up to be a great product.

Just wondred what you guys thought about pages 6-7?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
WE ARE THE FUTURE OF RETRO COMPUTING!!!
-
Whoohoo Nice.. Amidock surely looks as the "defacto" standard for docks/launchers to come.
the attention to detail is simply amazing.
-
I cant remember but wouldnt information made to club amiga become available to everyone else in a matter of days?
No, Club Amiga members get advance preview of announcements, but CAM is member-exclusive.
Oh, and AmiDock is looking better every time I get more details of it. I started off thinking I would never use and it would get in the way, but there is so much configuration and useful stuff that I'm fairly sure I'll be using it, and it won't be in the way.

Basically, that's the way I think desktop computers should be like instead of these cumbersome boxes we now have to use.
The problem is, this design is bound to be expensive, due to the technology that needs to be used.
-
Is CAM the replacement for the monthly magazine (sorry can't remember what it was called) and executive updates? If so, in a market place that has shrunk to nearly nothing, is it wise to restrict information in this way?
Surely no information and no product will result in no customers. :-?
-
I just read it. Very nice. :-)

The March issue of Club Amiga Monthly is a good read, informative, more professionally laid out.
I'll read it a few more times later.
I would like a cam forum so we can talk :)
Well worth $50, considering its free :-)
pm me: what is pic #3 ?
difference between #1 + #2 to #3 ?
I liked the PXXXX XXXXX XXX article by SH, and agree this needs serious consideration.
The Amidock article was well laid out and technical enough - fantastic effort by the developers.
Thank you for the sneak preview of things to come.
From CAM#1
I wanted more info on the progress of #3 in u.s.
Also more info on the famous four

PR & marketing and some technical information.
