Title: GoldED Studio Editor Updated
Post by: Dietmar on February 17, 2003, 08:43:48 PM
Service pack 10 is available for users of GoldED Studio AIX.

SP10 is is a maintenance update. It includes bug-fixes for core components of GoldED. Additional non-essential but recommended upgrades for other components can be downloaded from the support site: Distributed BASIC (17/Feb/03) and latest Bonuspack (17/Feb/03).

As usual, an updated free version of GoldED can be downloaded, too. The free version is fully functional but limited to editing files not larger than 1000 lines. It includes most add-ons from the commercial distribution (only spell checking and gcc are missing to keep the file size within reasonable limits).

New prices: this is the last opportunity to purchase GoldED at the current price. Starting with SP11, the GoldED AIX CD will be priced at 69,90 EUR.

WHERE do I purchase it from??  The GoldEd homepage/shop only shows distributors for the Studio 6 version, not the AIX version.  And there is no shopping cart system on the site.

I recently purchased GoldED Studio AIX, and I had to write to Deitmar Eilert directly for it.  As I couldn't find any link on his website to a page from which I could order it, I emailed him, and he gave me a link to follow, which led to a page with ordering/payment instructions.  However, there is no link to that page from elsewhere in the site.

Later, I had some trouble with my bank arranging a money transfer, and I tried the link again.  That page is now gone or renamed to something else that I can't find.  Otherwise, I would give you the link.

Anyway, Mr. Eilert was very helpful via email, and we concluded the deal to my satisfaction.

Hope this helps.
