The new AHI drivers support sound cards based on the FM801 chip, like the Terratec 512i Digital sound card.
More from Elbox (http://www.elbox.com/news_03_01_31.html)

All fine and well, but where's our promised SB Live drivers?

they are in development according to Elbox...
which taking into account how long they have been in 'development' suggest that they are never going to materialize... from elbox, the good thing is that OS 4.x already have SB LiVE AHI driver (which probably explains why Elbox doesn't develop their own).
-
Cool :-)
-
Hmm, i thought the Terratec 512i was already supported by AHI?
It says so on the AHI Homepage (http://www.lysator.liu.se/(user)/~lcs/ahi.html).

@Blomberg
It probably was but not for Mediator until now.
-
The TerraTec Auroun-line is very identical to the SB Live/Audigy-line, so there should be AHI-drivers for the TerraTec Auroun-line, too. They also have surround-features like SB Live/Audigy.
-
let me put it this way...
if elbox can't make a SB LiVE/Audigy driver which has open source drivers available with all documentation of the dsp, mixer, midi and so on (including the managers/SoundFont/Surround Sound etc) they will certainly not be able to make any kind of driver for the Terratec Auron.
and since the reason why they can't make a SB LiVE driver therefore must be a hardware fault/bug/limitation of the mediator the same limitations will most likely stop any driver for something like the Auron too.
:-x :-(

I don't think that Mediator has a bug/limitation. It a really good products, not like Grex (DMA ecc ecc)
Other PCI company always release driver after elbox do, and Mediator has a big quantity of driver, a impressive work for a company which work in a small market like this.

:-o You might want to also ask AmigaInc what happened to the LIVE drivers that were being developed for them by a subcontractor.
Maybe
hint: I'd like to know too! :-D
