Title: Half-Life 2 source code leaked?
Post by: legion on October 02, 2003, 06:59:59 PM
See the thread on Slashdot.  Can someone with coding experience verify this?

Man, I'd give my starboard nut if someone would port this over... :ak47:

Doesn't really matter if it's real or not.  Anybody releasing anything that resembled HL2 would have Valves' lawyers jumping up and down on their remains...

:whack:

There's also the fact that HL2 is so big and Windows-specific a port to other systems might well just be impossible.

Yup, it's relying on DirectX quite heavily from what I've read, specifically version 9.

anyway impossible is a word no one should use, if we did imagine what would happen :)
