Hi:
I did my regular visit to comp.sys.amiga.marketplace a few moments ago via dejanews.com and noticed that the group is no longer archived??? What happened to that great resource for information and posts that had a lot documented problems and solutions with amiga software and hardware? I can't believe it's gone!
Any comments?

I'm not sure, but have you tried Google's groups?
Click Here! (http://groups.google.com/groups?q=comp.sys.amiga&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search)
-
That's exactly where I checked, and see this message at the top of the page:
"Group: comp . sys . amiga (This group is no longer archived)"
See also the date of the latest message in there, it's from July!!!
damn!!
-
"comp.sys.amiga" is no longer archived, it was abandoned/grandfathered long ago...
comp.sys.amiga.* should still be active
-
Oh yeah, there is nothing after July. If you believe you have or others have posted after that date, then send an email to webmaster@google.com and help@google.com and ask them why there not archiving comp.sys.amiga anymore.
-
good riddance to...
it was closed due to an big brawl on ann.lu afaik! or ?
-
comp.sys.amiga.* are all still there. I do visit them daily, I have to say that traffic is less than it used to be, but it's still a very good place to find answers.
It's a good read after all the AOS vs MOS stuff on forums...

I think there was a problem with the Google groups server. For a day or so the comp.sys.amiga.marketplace was missing (as well as a couple other comp.sys.amiga.* groups) and now, it appears most of the stuff is back. But, if you click on certain links you recieve an article not found error.
I've got an email into google support to see what happened.
-
I take that back. It's gone from the listing again. To search the group just type it's full name into the search box. There are posts as of today so it's still being archived.

Here's the response I got.

Hi,
Thank you for your note. The Google Groups servers are continuing to
experience problems. The engineering team is aware of the problem and is
currently working on the issue.
Though we can not give a a specific time when the problem may be
alleviated, we are sure it will be soon.
We appreciate your patience during this time.
Sincerely,
The Google Groups Team
