Title: Enterprise Air will use Tao's intent technology
Post by: Kees on October 28, 2002, 01:58:42 PM
Enterprise Air today announces that it will use intent from Tao Group Limited to bring unrivalled Personal java(TM) capabilities to its mobile application infrastructure product, MobileEdge.  MobileEdge allow companies to quickly extend enterprise applications from the desktop onto the handheld device.  The intent platform, which combines best-in-class multimedia components with incredible flexibility and high-speed performance, provides the perfect complement to the MobileEdge solution. Put simply, the partnership will see intent providing the Java platform and Enterprise Air providing the enterprise application solutions based in Java.

Bill Markel President of Enterprise Air commented: "We are delighted to
benefit by using Tao's intent technology.  Enterprise Air explored
various implementations of Java on Microsoft PocketPC to run our
software on PDAs.  We found that Tao's intent could run our applications
many times faster and more reliably than we previously thought possible.
It was important that we showed our software in the best possible light
as it is our determination to make sure that we always give our
customers the best possible user experience."

Francis Charig, chairman & CEO of Tao Group said, "I made efforts to
meet with Bill Markel earlier this year after hearing many positive
reports from our Dallas office about their excellent technology.   Using
XML, Enterprise Air's software provides one of the fastest, end-to-end
methods of building and deploying enterprise applications on intent.  I
was delighted, albeit not surprised, to hear from him the reports on the
improved performance, consistent with the feedback that Tao is receiving
across the global markets now."
