Title: DOpus 5.5
Post by: doctorq on September 30, 2003, 09:05:31 AM
Hi,

I'm using DOpus 5.5 on my A1200T, OS3.5. For some reason the program won't use my GlowIcons I have on the Workbench screen, and it can't even create the correct .info file when I use MakeDir. It basicly looks like crap.

I'm not an experienced DOpus user, so what should I change/look for?

Thanx in advance

AFAIK, NewIcons patches something in Workbench, but as DOpus is a workbench replacement, NI wont' work. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Download the patched/modified  icon.library to solve this issue when using Dopus as a WB replacement.

"With the kind permission of Olaf Barthel, we have also  included a new
OS3.5 icon.library  for OS 3.5. This should be installed in your system
libs directory (LIBS:) and fixes a few problems in the  release version
of the library which came with the first OS 3.5 release."

Where can I download this library?

You can download it from here, (http://www.gpsoft.com.au/AmigaIndex.html) you will need Opus Magellan version 5.81 or higher. It's not a free upgrade from 5.5, but it's much nicer and worth it IMO.

5.82 is the latest.

if you upgrade to 5.82 you don't need the library...
AFAIK

Actually the library is supplied with the 5.82 patch, and icon.module does use the library.

@lempkee
Yes, I noticed that too on the page I linked to ;-)
