Title: A1000 and "newer" floppies.
Post by: on December 04, 2002, 08:15:32 PM
Hey,

I've used newer 1.44 MB 3.5" in my A1000 before and it worked. Anyone think this is a good idea or bad? Cause I can't find the older floppies anymore.

It should be fine, I have never heard of them damaging hardware, they would still be formatted down to 880KB anyway.

I haven't had the greatest luck with longer-term durability of 1.44 floppies formatted as low-density, but then again, I haven't had the greatest luck with long-term durability of ANY floppies...  I probably wouldn't trust it for an only copy of rare code, or something, but for most uses, it should be fine.
