Yeah, i hate posts like this that say "new version" and not what's in it. So you download it, and it does something like correcting a spelling mistake in the title bar ;-)

But not in this case though. I rooted around on the site and found this:

"1.6 Most biggest update ever.... :) So:
FIXED CinePak decoder bufsize (PPC)
FIXED CinePak decoder 2x1 block render (PPC/PIP)
FIXED gui positioning problem over 65535 frames
FIXED mace audio codec crash bug (QT)
ADDED support for Divx3.11 (DIV3)
ADDED support for OpenDivx/DIVX4/DIVX5.xx (DIVX/DX50)
ADDED support for MPEG4/MPEG4 V1 (DIV1/MPG4/MP41)
ADDED support for MPEG4 V2 (MP42)
ADDED support for MPEG4 V3 (MP43)
ADDED PPC optimised MJPEG/JPEG decoder (AVI/MOV)
ADDED PPC optimised render for YUV422, YUV420P, YUV9 (overlay/hicolor)
ADDED PPC optimised STORM render for all new codecs and for 3ivx (however faster/better quality will be added soon)
FIXED varios problems in AVI header parser
CHANGED AVI bufsize calculation
ADDED new skipping methode (AVI/MOV)
ADDED new skipping methode w/o audio playback (tolerant skip)
ADDED delta render (PPC) for MPEG codecs (3IVX/DIVX clones) (can be controller via NODELTARENDER option/tooltype)
ADDED NORENDER option/tooltype to disable rendering (usable for benchmarks)
ADDED support for MPEGI/Layer2 audio (mp2)
ADDED support for MPEGI/Layer3 audio (mp3)
ADDED support for Sorenson Codecs (QT/SVQ1)
ADDED support for QT6 filestructure
ADDED support for MPEG4/QT6, however it is a bit buggy ATM... (will be fixed soon)
FIXED some minor bugs in the MOV header parser
(29.09.2002)"

Mucho impressive.

This looks like an awesome piece of software!!  I couldn't figure out the registration process.  How does one do that?

Well, I'm still trying to figure it out.  Maybe it's so simple that it's elluding me.  Price I saw is $10.  That's damn cheap for such a program being supportive of so many formats!

DIVX on an 060? That's sure asking alot! :-o I'm affraid you'd need at least a CSPPC for that.

Heck I just trying playing a DIVX on a k6-2 400Mhz Wintendo box the other day and it was choppy. :-x

Sorry for the "Lots Of New Stuff" teaser, but there was LOTS of new stuff.  Also, just got an e-mail from Laszlo.  He is going to be posting an upgrade for MooVid Pro in a week or so.  The present one only works with the registered shareware version. :-x

It's funny that using Frogger DivXs play a lot smoother than MPEGs in my system.
Before this release I think I read a report from the author saying that he achieved around 18fps with a small divx (320x200) in a 060.
