Title: DHCP with os 3.9 genesis?
Post by: detz on September 29, 2003, 11:39:03 PM
At the moment i#m using the demo of miami dx but it times out after 30 mins. Is there A way of getting genesis configured to auto detect the internet/network settings?

Not using DHCP. I use MiamiDX as well. The best way to use Genesis would be to get a router to handle the DHCP from your ISP and set the router to use a static connection with your Amiga and Genesis. Its works well this way. Its a shame that MiamiDX wasnt the stack used with 3.9 since its so much more advanced. Another choice and I am sad to say is get some  keys off someone willing to give them out. Since the author refuses to take any more registrations its the only way to get a full version now.

I was told it's not even possible to get a registration for MiamiDX any more. It that true? I registered Miami 3.x years ago and still use it on my 4000 with OS 3.0
