IOSPIRIT (http://www.iospirit.de/) are proud to announce you the availability of a new and expanded version of VHI Studio (http://www.iospirit.de/vhistudio/) today.
New features/improvements in VHI Studio 5.7:
- USB-support (Digitalkameras, Webcams)
- new, integrated FTP-client for the webcam-functionality
- completly newly written .mov-animationexport
- automatic framerate-recognition
- an ARexx-port has been added
- heavily advanced webcam- and timelapse-functionality
- example-webcamfiles with elegant design in the archive
- extended PPC-support (e.g. JPEG-decoding)
- now uses fxWARP 9 technology
- native CPU-modules for PPC (PowerUP, WarpUP, MorphOS) and x86 (Amithlon)
Along with the availability of the new version we also have relaunched our VHI Studio-pages (http://www.iospirit.de/vhistudio/).
VHI Studio is the award-winning software for videoboards, digicams, webcams and other video sources on the AMIGA with the broadest hardware-support.
Functionality includes recording and cutting of videoclips, download of images from digital cameras, still-picture-grabbing and their optimization, watching TV on the Workbench, a full-blown webcam-software (besides, this feature also works with videoboards, digicams, etc!) and the easy creation of timelapse-animations.

Nice, so our the Sony Cybershot Digi cams supported in this line up? mainly the P71 :-)

VHIStudio has a driver for the Sony MSAC-SR1 serial memory stick reader other than that no Sony cameras are supported that I can see (I take it the P71 uses memory stick).
However if you have a USB card with a USB mass storage driver (the Highway is the only one currently available AFAIK) then you can get a USB memory stick reader, this can be used to access the files on the memory stick with no other software required.
I've got a Highway and a Lacie Hexadrive reader (which reads Sony memory stick amongst other formats) and it works very well.
Hope that's useful

VHIStudio 5.7's new Quicktime movie export is extremely welcomed! It was almost not worth exporting captured video using VHIStudio 5.4 as even a 15 second clip would take 10 minutes to render. The reworked Quicktime export allowed me to capture a 3 minute movie and render it in about 4-5 minutes.
Highly recommended if you have a Mediator PCI bus and a TV card. Another great piece of software from IOSpirit.
