But the Xbox lacks some PC components (keyboard and mouse interfaces...

What?! Even the humble CD32 has a keyboard/mouse interface and we are talking about 1994!  :-o  :-D

They could be an ex-Amiga/C64 user.

I still use my 1989 Commodore 1084S with my Geforce 4200 ViVo's  video out (when not connected to  21 inch TV set).

To be fair, the CD32 only has a mouse interface because the Joypad connectors are standard Amiga joystick/mouse connectors, and it doesn't have a keyboard connector as standard either.

Also, the X-Box does have controller ports which can be easily modified to accept USB controllers (according to the same faq).

:-P If nothing else, Suse Linux works therefore someone can probably get Berniethalon to run on it. Does that sound doable BillH?

C= made and/or rebranded lots of good TV/monitors. I have a 1702 hooked up to the S-video out of digital cable. Very nice picture for something I picked up in a pawn shop. When my son's U.S. Army unit went to Bosnia a few years ago (Anyone know where Hill 722 is?), the bus he traveled on from Hungary to his base camp on had C= monitors to show movies.    ;-)

I've got one of those!!  Used to have two of em.

So if it's possible to connect it to an Xbox, can I connect it to my PS2??  And if so, can I do it via the standard Scart cable or by hacking it up a bit to get the right connections?

Cheers,

Graham C

Yes, in fact you can conect a VCR and watch TV too  :-D
and of course the resolution is better than the standard TV. Sadly Commodore didn't make any 17".
