These have been out for quite a while now.  I like these things, but they are WAY too expensive!  Cheaper to buy a Compact Flash card and a USB reader.

Do these devices need drivers? I mean, can you just plug it into any PC (or Amiga for that matter with a Highway card) and it'll work? I can hardly believe that.

USB Storage is a requirement of a fully featured USB stack.

Hence these devices will work automatically on any OS with a fully featured USB stack: Windows, MacOS, Linux, FreeBSD, AmigaOS (with stack) and presumably many others.
