I have an A2000 with a Solid State Leisure A5000 accelerator. Is there any way I can add an MMU to that system - or tear it apart and add something else to get an MMU on board?
Is it possible to replace the 68020EC on the A5000 with a 68030 chip? Does anyone have experience of these things?
If it is going to be possible to get an MMU into my A2000 where do I buy the bits from?
Lots of questions I know - and thanks in advance.

i wonder if one could use a viper 520 or 530 cd in a 2000 even though there made for a a500. seems like i heard or read the A2000 and the A500 was pretty much the same computer, except for more expanisions on the A2000. just a thought...

Viper is not possible in A2000.
MMU was a separate chip for the 68020. Only possible to fit if your
cpu board has socket for it.
You cannot excahnge the 68020 with an 68030 chip.

Viper is not possible in A2000.
Is this a physical issue or doesn't it work if you plug it in the 68k socket?

i looked at my viper 520cd no MMU, but my A1200 shows to have a mmu and i can't notice much differance with the mmu active or not, does an mmu offer much in the small processors like the 68020/60830 cpu any way?
