Here are some pics of Bernie demoing Xine and running 5 monitors simultaneously on "Berniethlon" v2.

That's cool as hell!  Any news on when it'll be available?  "Berniethlon" v2, that is.  ;-)

Nope. As you can read in the AmiWest transcripts and hear in the mp3 (the Q&A), the Picasso96 license is still not forthcoming AFAIK.

It may be that the P96 guys aren't prepared to grant a license until the various other licensing and IP issues are settled in court, in which case I have no idea what might happen.

However, although not yet confirmed, I believe the recent patches and drivers for Amithlon 1.0.1 may enable that to run Xine too. Take a look at the README for the patches and read between the lines about "future" software.

This doesn't help if you don't already have Amithlon and there's no legal way of buying it.

Hmm... Exactly my problem.  I held off on buying it right away because it didn't support my network/sound.  Since then, I've heard the SB Live! works right now, and I had to switch network cards for a different reason, but there's no way to buy it.  Ugh.  Can I just send Bernie a check and have him send me a "pirated" version?  ;-)  If I get it illegally, I'd rather have HIM get the money, at least.  haha!

The SB Live! only works in v2. Although there's rumour of a driver having been developed for 1.0.1, it hasn't been released for some reason.
