This seems to have gone mostly unnoticed in our own forums:
Someone using the nickname Amithlon and claiming to be "VMC Harald Frank, founder of Amithlon" posted this here (http://amiga.org/forums/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2161&forum=1):
Whatever Mr. Meyer has said or put on his website, *he* has to stand in court for that,
and
If Mr. Meyer is not stoping in trying to make illegal money with my work, my ip and still
refuse to hand out the updates we have paid him
already many money for, it will be very very
expensive for him in court.
Certainly sounds like Mr Frank :-x

@red Bill :-P
Slow news day, or what ?
Harald claimed that he owns Amithlon, but Bernie stated that he
had replaced all of Harald code in version 2, but that he was still
missing the o.k. from a needed contributor.
IMO this can only be P96, who might fear trouble from H&P with
whom the still have a valid contract (thats me guessing).

I think youre right :-).

Not really, this seems like news to me. Mr Franks "See you in court" sure sounds convincing.

P96 may be holding out due to fear, but I think it's clear who the suing(or threatening to sue) party is :-x

For the record, and I'm posting this simply so that I can reach all the news posters.
Please, please, please don't post any more of this weird and childish gameplay. This spit needs to be dealt with on a professional level, by companies, not in the public court of ill-informed opinion.
The only people who have the right to say what is, and is not legal where the Amiga is concerned is Amiga Inc. Not you, not me, not the other 2249 Amiga.org members. As such, there is no need to post such drivel as it's only point is to fraction the community even further.
Just an official opinion,
Wayne

@red
Not neccesary fear. The do have a binding contract with H&P,and
AFAIK they even got the money. They also know that atleast on of
the two Amithlon versions is illegal, but they have no way to know
(for sure) which one is legal.
While noone can blame them if the H&P version is proven illegal
(OS-licences or not their prob), it would be a problem if H&P would
win against Bernie, because in this case they would probraly have
violated their contract with H&P by providing parts for version 2.
