It seems they hit another small hitch with H&P over Amithlon. Read more for the explanation which was posted by Bernd Meyer on the Amithlon mailing list.
"Dear all,
It appears that the unfortunate past association of Amithlon with Haage & Partner has created one more stumbling block on the way to the release of Amithlon 2.0.
Thus, it is extremely unlikely that I can make the planned release date; While the delay should hopefully be very short, I can not currently make
any definite promises.
Please bear with me for just a little while longer,
thank you,
Bernd Meyer"

Let's hope they resolve this soon.. I want to show Amithlon at work :-)
Hmm.. Question; does anybody know if Amithlon 2 supports NTFS partitions ?
(Just reread the faqs, Amithlon 1 can't, so I edited the quiestion to Amithlon 2.. I think the answer is no.... (To bad, all my drives are NTFS)
-
You're right. It can't.
The trouble is that Amithlon uses AmigaOS file systems for everything. FAT32 partitions are accessed through FAT95 built into one of the Amithlon ROMs or loaded the usual way, but there is no AmigaOS file system that works with NTFS.

Oh dang… I just converted my primary HD (20 Gb) into NTFS (via Windows XP).
Luckily I have delayed NTFS conversion on my second HD (17Gb).
$99 AUD seems to be reasonable.

Yes $99 AUS is a great price in my opinion also. The previous asking price for AmigaOS XL and Amithlon combined was ridiculous.. and yet, Haage&Partner said somewhere that it was their best selling Amiga product ever!
