COOL more new pix
I didn't know DOPUS II was going 2 be in there! GOOOD NEWS though!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
-
Deeply disappointed to learn that the "disturbing and well-known of nose" were only bugs. Oh well.
Encouraging to read they consider OS4.0 nearly finished, too. It would be nice to have something to play with soon-ish.
-
Well, maybe you should ask Steffen of Houses if the disturbing and well-known-of nose is his :-P
What does "since long time soon" mean? Some kind of time traveler tense?
"The fans operate derest." Well, I like quiet (expensive) high quality fans...
"now about a drop of dragee" Yeah, some candy would be nice right now!
Silly computer linguistics anecdote:
One of the first natural language translation programs - way back in the 60's - translated between English and Russian.
The top brass came by and was given a demo. When asked to give a phrase to translate, one of the execs suggested "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Said and done, the phrase was translated to Russian, then back to English.
The result: "The meat is rotten, but the vodka is strong."

Oh, I just figured out what "since long time soon" must refer to. The release date of the next Amiga :-D
-
:-? I'm wondering whether the included software features -MUI, DOpus Magellan II, Roadshow, IBrowse 2.3, etcetera- are full versions or demo versions, like Genesis or AWeb with 3.9. There was no mention that I could detect.
:-D Still, looking good!
-
Cool, cool, cool, can't wait!
:-)

Sounds good and seems it is nearly finished.
The xml sounds very promising.
I have worked a little with it doing some interactive 3D with Viewpoint VET.
If OS4 uses xml in the heart of it then a port may not be so difficult and I was wondering is we may see 3D objects moving on the desktop.

Oh no! It's my evil clone brother again.. :-D

To obtain the highest degree of confusion when translating an article you should try the following using a set of Workbench1.2 disks:
translate the article using babelfish - DONT'T READ IT!
Save the "translation" as a text file.
Write a quick program using ABasic to read the text file one word at a time and output it through your Amiga using the wonderful "speech" synthesizer.
Now close your eyes and listen carefully as "Mr Monotone" does his best to send you to sleep.
Now if that doesn't leave you totally in the dark then nothing will. :-D
-
@Darrin
That ain't good enough:
1. Run the german text through the narrator.device (speech)
2. Write it down as you hear it.
3. Use Babelfish.
