If you haven't seen or downloaded it yet, you can find Bill McEwen's appearance on TechTV at http://paula.guldheden.com/ (http://paula.guldheden.com/)

It could be my monitor ... but did Bill put on some weight ? ;-)

With American food it's really hard not to. I really wonder how so many Americans manage to stay in so good shape despite their eating habits. I know I'd have to more or less stop eating completely if I moved there or I'd turn into a blimp. :-O

Thanks for posting this! I was only able to get about 1/2 of it yesterday.

PS. Weight? I exercise 3X weekly min. and have a small but protein rich lunch (midday)! It helps but the older ya get the slower your metabolism.

What's wrong with american food? :-P I guess that when you say American food, you are basically talking about ALL foods. you name it we have it. We have our share of nutzo vegetarians, and then you have people like me who think chicken wings and beer is a heathly staple:-D
-
Mmmm... beer. :-)
You're right, of course. But consider this: almost anywhere in (the civilized parts of) the world you can get just about any kind of food, and yet you find people, on the average, eating quite different things in different countries.
That said, I think I'll have some whisky and a banana and go back to coding. :-)

Hi
Can someone create a transcript of the interview?
It is very difficult, time consuming and expensive to download 81 Megabytes using 56 Kbps modem (5 hours!).
Thank you.

See the transcript:

Bill rules! He always does a very good job explaining the Amiga and getting in all the good bits of information AND he always seems very happy. Go Bill! :-D
-
I just watched the clip. And if I hadn't really know about all of this I'd be really really impressed. :-D :-D :-D
COOL!

For the benefit or British readers, can someone tell us what TechTV is? And what the audience size is?
I've got to say, on the basis of reading the transcript of the show, Bill seems to have coped remarkably well with what seems to have been one of the stupidest, most ignorant half-wit presenters the world has ever seen. That man Leo wouldn't get a job sweeping floors in the UK... ;-)
-
I really enjoyed the show. And like someone said before, he is good at speaking about Amiga. Love to hear him talk.

I agree. Good job Bil. :-)

I got my son to download the interview on his super-hot cable modemed PC and I made him watch it with me! It's one thing to read about these things and another to actually see it with your own eyes. I agree...the presenter was over the top but Bill coped very well and even managed to squeeze in a few words between the rubbish. Congratulations Amiga. The future looks fine...just hope I can raise enough folding stuff to get me a new Amiga1.5 and still have enough to feed the wife and 4 kids! :-o
-
just read the transcript. the interviewer sounds like an idiot ;-)
as someone who ISN'T a programer but mearly a lowly artist I must say that what Bill is talking about makes me happy. I've been saying for years (and several Amiga owners back) that Amiga should be on any and every piece of computer hardware there is. And getting MicroShaft to pay for some of this is true revenge. I'm sure they don't fully understand what's going on but who cares. F B. Gates!
and as for AMerican's being fat, yep, it's true. not because there isn't good food here, it's that American's eat alot of very bad fast foods (too much fat and carbs, not enough protein. not enough essential fats and not enough antioxidants). i've never seen so many FAT people in my entire life! I'm sorry to say.
let's hope that (a) Amiga thrives under this new leadership and (b) Americans learn to eat.
