Post by: System on April 27, 2001, 01:53:04 PM
AMD (http://www.amd.com) has released some new information (http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,5081873,00.html?chkpt=zdhpnews01) about their upcoming chips including information on their next generation 64bit Clawhammer chips.  The first Clawhammers will be 10cms across, which is about half the size of Intels (http://www.intel.com) Pentium4 chips and half the size of the first Itaniums.  Clawhammers wont be shipping until sometime next year, but a new line of 1.5Ghz+ Athlons will be available later this year.
