Title: Itanium Review and Benchmarks

Intels (http://www.intel.com) new 64bit chip the Itanium (http://www.tweakers.net/reviews/204/) is doing the rounds on hardware sites.  At the moment only 32bit software can be tested on the 64bit chip, and the results are not looking good at all.  Still, the chips are not designed to run 32bit software, so we may see some very fast 64bit results.  But will the Itanium beat the AMD (http://www.amd.com) Hammer?
