At the upcoming CeBIT the company Thendic Electronic Components GmbH (http://www.thendic.de/ ) from Aschaffenburg/Germany will introduce their new Handheld-PC called "Smart-Boy®" with a touchscreen, chip and creditcard reader. A consumer version will be released in autumn under the label "Amiga(TM)".
I rang them up and they told me that this information is true. The first release will run on Windows 3.x, but when the AmigaDE is available it will use it. In the following weeks there will be more information on their web site and they will also make public announcements in magazines.
