Title: CD32 optical drive

Hidey-ho neighborinos...

What kind of drive was in the CD32, interface-wise?  Custom?  ATAPI?  SCSI?  What?

What I can find out, it came out with a MKE controller.

Aha!  Found it (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~theom/electronics/panasoniccd.html).  Sadly it looks like a long-dead nonstandard interface.

but the laser pick-up is easily replaceable... Sony KSS series 21x
