I have bought an original Commdore A4000T, but the door with the Commodore Label is missing. (lost or anything other)
Have anyone a door for the Commdore A4000T?
-
Did you get it from TomSwift by any chance?
Good luck trying to get a replacement door. The door hinges are quite fragile on the A4000T and many users have broken doors.
Your best bet would be to look for a replacement bezel, from an old Enlight AT case. Check my thread "Buying an A4000T" for more info.

I will concur with what X-Ray says except I would modify one of his statements to read "most users have broken doors". The original C= case, while looking pretty clean / visually pleasing, had issues with the door hinges and the clasps that held in the smoked window. Most of these problems were resolved when enlight provided the newer case during the Escom / AT era.
The original case doors were so bad that around NewTek, it was not uncommon to see the towers with doors removed.

On a side note I am looking for a front bezel for a 3000T. I know it is a long shot but if anyone has one I could put it to good use.

I have bought the Commodore A4000T here in germany in an german amiga forum.
But the door was not included. Now i will find the original door.
Nice thread, the "buying an a4000T" thread. ;)

This newer case already exists during Commodore era.

Hello, is there no C= A4000T door out there?
-
If what I've read is right, only a couple hundred C= 4000Ts are around. I wouldn't hold out much hope.
-
Yes i know, but i never give up. ;)

I have an A4000 front door for sale on ebay atm. It`s now at £150.

Wonder who would pay that much for one... heh

I'm betting no one, so I'll get to keep it on the face of my 4000T.

Send the Link, please. ;)

Right, and what exactly is your point? Or better, what fun is that?

My 'point' was to see if people would go for such an item, at what is clearly an extortionate price. They did - thus confirming to me something that I had long feared. In the world of Amiga, people will pay big money for any old crap.
I thought it was quite funny actually.
Get a sense of humor or feck off.

Since when is that new. Not only Amiga's, almost all things classic go for insane prices. I've seen dinky toys sold for hundreds of pounds. Or is that normal? Pottery maybe? Classic cars?

Evillord is looking for that part badly, holding a carrot in his face in my opinion is not a funny thing.

I most certainly will not "feck off" merely because I do not share YOUR sense of humor.

The value of any item is what the buyer is willing to pay.

You may be correct about that but they do not appear the same nor do the hinges on the door have the same thickness where the door inserts into the front panel.
The original C= front panel had quite flimsy hinges which broke quickly in almost every case. When ESCOM/AT took over, they only released the later style enlight case which had a (IMO) less attractive front door but the hinges were much "beefier". Seems to have cured the original problem.

I meant the front bezel, the case is always the same. The front bezel used by Escom existed already at Commodore Era. In fact there were 3 different front bezels: one with engraved Amiga-Logo, one with metall label and the one released by Escom which looked much different to the Commodore versions.

Don´t have anyone a door or complete front bezel for the C=A4000T?
