HOLY S&^%$#! ya mean that bloody crook that screwed hundreds, if not thousands, of 64/128 owners world wide finally sold the rights ??? wonder what happens to all those paid for but unshipped orders now !

Actually it looks like it was not exactly his rights to sell, but a license that has been revoked.
This is all new info and not my place to speclulate further except to say this is looking to be a VERY big event for C= 8bit fans!

Hey,I was there for 5 hours today(and bought two cartons of software) but had to leave for work.Jim must have made the announcement later?
Watched Jim and helper soldering 64NIC and saw the solid state 1541 in action across the room.

Creative Micro Designs (CMD) was known for high end hardware solutions for The Commodore 64 & 128.

In 2001 CMD finally quite the Commodore market, later that year Maurice Randall (later Click Here Software) acquired the rights to sell most of the product line. It was never known if he bought the rights or simply had a license.
Maurice was long known in the C= community for small software products like Geos addons, he was also a race car driver and owns a automotive shop. Long story short he did sell JiffyDOS roms on and off (mostly off) along with some old stock of magazines and low ticket items, but production of the big stuff Like SuperCPU, CMD HDs and RAMLINKs never happened. To make things worse he has collected pre-order money for some of these big ticket products dating back to as far as 2001 in some cases. You also have people who sent big ticket products in for repair, which disappeared into a black hole.
Jim Brain is also well known in the C= community. He has worked on developing hardware and released the design to the public. Most recently he has been working on the uIEC and selling units himself.

Jim Brain makes that announcement last night which is specific to JiffyDOS, a product that greatly enhances the speed of floppy drives in Commodore 8 bit computers. It appears Maurice Randall's license for JiffyDOS has been revoked and Jim Brain (Brain Innovations) has one now. Pure speculation on my part and probably everyone else at this point is that this will lead to the rest of the product line eventually. If I was gambling, I'd give it 99 out of 100 odds this will lead to most of the other products!

I was disappointed at the low number of Saturday visitors;two or three years ago I attended and the same room was so crowded you had to ease your way past other people.That year Dale Sidebottom was selling hardware and t-shirts.
I wonder if Jim Brain acquired the rights to the Vic 20 and Plus 4 JiffyDos ?
There was a fellow showing his Plus 4 with JiffyDos and a card memory device -pretty neat!
Saw a Ramlink sell for $260!
There was(is?) a little of everything;the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club had six or seven tables of software with at least one table devoted to the Amiga.
JPPM had 1581 drive kits and Super Snapshots;other vendors displays included Coomodore adding machines,PET computers,some Amiga hardware,several CMD items (Ramlimnk,HD and a FD drives and other goodies.One fellow was selling a nicely done high-speed 232 device.
