Title: Floppy repair utilities?
Post by: cehofer on May 22, 2009, 05:12:04 PM
I have a drivers disk that keeps giving me 884, 885 and 888 errors.  I just click cancel and it loads and works.  I looked on aminet but didn't see anything that popped out at me.

Any suggestions?

If it's just a driver disk, why not copy all the files off onto another disk? Then, if that works, format the original and copy them back on...

Failing that, there's always DiskSalv (http://aminet.net/package.php?package=disk/salv/DiskSalv11_32.lha)

That was easier said than done until I got my Tower up and running when my 4000 D crashed on me.  I was going to try that lastnight but I gave up.

Disksalv or quarterbacktools, in that order if you're trying to recover a floppy.

Failing that, see if you can't get the drivers online, say on aminet.
