Title: Odd graphic glitch w/DPaint 4. yay....
Post by: marcfrick2112 on May 20, 2009, 09:19:57 AM
Hi everyone,

I've had the original Deluxe Paint 4 on my 1200T since I got it, never any problems... Suddenly, 'trails' appear on the screen when I try to type any text on a DPaint screen.... Hard to explain, anyone familiar with the little box that appears to place text? The box shows the base line of the text (not including ascenders/descenders)... this line is what leaves trails all over the screen...

I've never had this before... Any other paint program works fine, but I do like DPaint4..

Specs. A1200 PowerTower '060/50MHz OS3.9 BB1+2, 128MB RAM, 8.5GB HDD Soft: OxyPatcher, PowerSnap, MCP

Any ideas?

CLS2086: Thanks much... it turns out that FBlit was the problem... But, I'm almost 99% positive that I had DPaint4 working fine with FBlit, oh well time check out the FBlit Docs... Thanks again!

dpaint hits the hardware directly, thats why it is a lean and mean paint package.  Fblit/Ftext moves graphics functions into fast ram, theres bound to be some unexpected result at some point when you combine fblit/ftext with dpaint
