Hi guys,
Again, secret key word here is BETA, but would those of you with iPhones and mobile devices please check out http://mobile.amiga.org and tell me if that's what you need?
Works well for my iPhone save for a few broken images.

@Wayne
Mate, that's fantastic! Absolutely brilliant! Of course you realise that using amiga.org on the train, when I should be studying, will now be too tempting to resist. If I fail my degree I'm holding you personally responsible.
I have, however, made a small donation as a thank you for your hard work. It's not much, but I am a student ;-)

Thanks Moto,
I'll take your donation off the amount I owe you when you fail your course. Feel free to continue contributing until your entire Amiga.org education tuition is paid in full.. :)

While I'm grateful for the support this site gives, I don't think it's fair compensation for my degree :-P

Well I can certainly read it with a Orbit XDA 2, looking good from here :pint:

Haha yes, but I have to hide it; any sign of neurosis could mean curtains for a career in the NHS! ;-)
BTW, any idea whether the mobile version works any better in Amiga browsers? I no longer have an Amiga online to check.

Looks pretty good on my crackberry.
-
Looks great on the Ipod Touch, as with your Iphone, just a few broken images.
Great stuff!
-
Looks good on Nokia N95 (symbian).
Just a few broken images, but lovely big text.
-
Looks excellent on my Sony Ericsson Xperia (Opera Mobile 9.5, Windows Mobile 6).
-
works fine on LG viewty (internal browser)
And on opera mini.
will test on HTC ubiversal (winmob 6) when I get home. Hell I might even test it on my DS and a real Amiga too ;)
Appley Icons though....Almost made my LG crash! (joke..it runs fine)

nice. works well enough on my old blackberry curve.
good skills :-)

A couple of issues.
(IMHO) the font is too large.
The blue arrows aren't actual links.
In Opera Mobile when you click a link it takes you to the normal amiga.org target, not the mobile.
-
Works great with Nokia E71 + Opera Mini. The only small problem was that the redirect after login didn't seem to work (but it might have been some random glitch).
Also works with E71 + Nokia's browser. Not as well as with Opera though, but that's pretty much the case with all sites.

the theme (and vB) relies on cookies to set the theme correctly. If your mobile browser accepts cookies, cool. If not, every time you try to change pages, it's going to revert to the old theme.
As much as I'd like to change that, there's no workaround.
As for the theme, it's an off-the-shelf freebie that was created for an iphone hacking site (hence the blue arrows which aren't even links, though I may be able to fix that). I have NOT made any changes to the defacto template (even the name hasn't changed... silly me).
Anyone who wants to help me amigatize it is more than welcome to send me the appropriate icons.

You've got a point pal, especially now when aorg is officially mobile!
@Wayne - please, create a distinct mobile users' donation account! I mean an ad or something. This IS the issue.
But to the point shortly.
Works great on HTC S710 (WM6) @ 240x320, except for some broken pictures.
Works fine on Nokia E65 (Symbian s60) @ 240x320, except for exceeding width in some 10% which requires horizontal scrolling. A solution might be switching profile to 176x width support, if that's possible. I think rendering adds some additional pix which makes it over 240 on my Nokia. A strict 176x width is a pretty safe assumption just to assure broader support, unless you can adjust to mobile UA of course :-)

Just posted a new thread from my Nokia 6233 and Opera mini. All seemed to work well, except that the message box for the new thread was really tall, and the two lines I put in it ended up at the top and half way down the box, instead of directly under the previous line... It posted just fine however :)
Keep up the good work and the best of luck with the move!!

Seems to work OK with E90 and standard S60/Nokia browser, both on external 240x320 and internal 800x352.
Will be great for those times on the move when I have no wifi!
