Do we have tools on the Amiga that allow better PC floppy disk recovery for disks with read errors than a PC might be able to do?
I have looked but not found anything yet.
Thanks

disksalv... any disk with bad sectors will not cure itself, but over time get worse. for the price of disks, it may be cheaper to buy new ones. if you experience many problems, then your disk drive may be misaligned or defective.

I dont want to save the disks but recover the data on the disk. Disksalv will work with PCO: FAT12 ? I figured the disk had to be Amiga OFS/FFS.

To my knowledge, DiskSalv does not work with CrossDOS disks.
You might have some luck ripping the raw sectors to a file. Some of the support tools in the WHDLoad package might help, or you could ask some of the developers for assistance.

Tip.. port the source for fsck_msdosfs or mtools "recover" to Amiga. And you will have what you are looking for.
