If memory serves, 2.04 was the first version to include a CrossDOS-type utility...

I´m going to buy A600 which comes with WB2.05. How can I transfer files from pc to amiga using disks if there is CrossDos? Should I get a linkcable or what?

AdMartin was correct.

2.1 was the first AmigaOS that included CrossDOS.  It's available as an add-on for all AmigaOS versions, though.  Actually AmigaOS 2.04 and 2.05 are the least-supported versions, as you had to hack the 1.3 CrossDOS to work on them.

If you're trying to link an Amiga with a PC, though, you shouldn't need CrossDOS at all.

Honestly, if you're really this determined to write disks that an Amiga can read, and don't have any previous Amiga experience, the easiest way would probably be with a Catweasel card for your PC.  Catweasel - JSchoenfeld (http://www.jschoenfeld.com/indexe.htm)

@ooiu

Why don't you just use dos2dos with your current Amiga?

There is an alternative called MSH (MessyDos) which can read/write PC disks on the Amiga.

Its on Aminet and is free!

And so is fat95, which is a heck lot more usable:

 fat95.lha  disk/misc  260K  10  Win95/98 compatible file system

http://www.aminet.org/disk/misc/fat95.lha (http://www.aminet.org/disk/misc/fat95.lha)

It supports long filenames too.
