Title: A2000 - GVP TekMagic060
Post by: AmigaPete on May 06, 2009, 10:19:37 PM
This is the last piece of major hardware that I have from my A2000 that I parted out. Some one please find a good home for it;

ASDG MultiSerial Card   $50

 Paypal accepted. Shipping will be extra and will be based on actual Canada Post rates shipped via the buyers chosen method - air or surface. Delivery is possible, up to about a one hour drive from my location - Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Or you are more than welcome to come pick it up.

Please PM or reply here with further questions, requests, etc.

Thanks,
Pete

UPDATE

I may consider parting out if I get enough requests for major individual components.

Pete  :-)

Is the guy in your avatar going to be yanking out those valuable goodies? lol   Reminds me of that Three Stooges episode where Curly dressed up as the Maharaja and couldn't see a thing as he was flinging knives at Larry!   LOL!

Free rhyme of the day: "Without a doubt, you'll do much better parting out".

No. Bubbles (http://www.trailerparkboys.com/site_cast.php?cast=3) only works on shopping carts.

LOL! I see. Had to Wiki that one to learn more. Guess trailer trash isn't just for the United States anymore huh? lol    Canadian mockumentary of a fictional trailer park... that show's got to be a riot! I'll have to see if that's available at Netflix.  At least Bubbles has good taste in music   :-)

Awesome system BTW: best of luck selling/parting out. I'll take the Amber/2320 card off your hands! PM sent...

I'd like to take the 'pregnant' mouse off you if you don't mind shipping it to the UK?

I would much rather watch the girl in your avatar yank parts anytime instead of Bubbles!

@AmigaPete:

You haven't sold that TekMagic 060 yet?!? $300? Jeez... if I hadn't of bought my 2060 for $450, I'd surely be investing in your board.

Best of luck and seriously... $300 and it hasn't sold?? What's wrong with you people? The fonts are not THAT small... or are they?  lol   Glad I use a Mac. Option/Apple -PLUS- makes A.org a lot more readable  :-)

I had one nibble but no response from PMs for a shipping address after the person requested a shipping rate. :angry:

Oh well. Stuff that doesn't sell here will go to ebay in another couple weeks.

How much RAM and what kind (GVP, or standard simms) do you have on your TekMagic board?

I have 3 standard 72 pin SIMMs - 1 32MB and 2 16 MB. I was only ever able to configure the 32 MB SIMM and one 16 MB SIMM to work properly on the card. I think it has something to do with the fact that the card has 4 SIMM slots, but you can only populate it with 2 or 4 SIMMs at any given time, if I recall correctly. I am including all three SIMMs in case someone has an extra 32 MB SIMM or they can figure out how to make it work with three SIMMs installed.

AmigaPete, I have been trying to send PMs but for some reason its not working for me. I had to pass on the GVP accelerator. AfterI got your first message I ended up chasing after an auction and spent my allotted amiga allowance already.

Hope I didn't delay your sale to anyone else.

Just wanted to reiterate the awesomeness of AmigaPete. Picked up the A2K from the PO this morning, it was packed well enough to survive an a-bomb blast, and in excellent condition. :)

Yeah, AmigaPete seems like a really great guy. Even turned me on to the Canadian series: "Trailer Park Boys" and we've been watching each of the shows, starting with the 1st season ala NetFlix. Thanks Bubbles, err, I mean AmigaPete... those guys are friggin' hilarious!  lol

Just wanted to thank all the peeps on this thread (and any others that dealt with me via only PM) for helping me find new homes for my A2000 and all it's pieces parts. I only have the ASDG multi serial card left.

It has been an interesting (to say the least) 22 year trip!!

Pete :)
