I have nothing to do with the sale of this Amiga , but i never saw such a modded Amiga for sale on ebay and want to share it with everyone here .
Nice spec too like built in CD and Indivision .

Nice mods but I'm not sure I like the colour!
-
Hasn't this one been around before, only then it was white?

I hope the colors weren't for a price increase!

That is just horrible! I wonder if it's the same dude that had the stupid white one for way too much money, maybe he decided to paint it! Brilliant!
-
Its the same location and same country.. i would say 90% it is and looks the same as the other one except its coloured now. BUT 700 Pounds for a A1200 with indi and 030.........

ROFL! I think its one of those things that you can mod to your own tastes, but will find it hard to find anyone who shares in your idea of customisation! Like the modified car scene!
-
When I looked, the listing showed the seller had a 100100% positive rating! How can you go wrong?
-
Interesting concept.... perhaps not everyones 'cup of tea', but I definitely wouldn't call it 'Stupid'
At least the guy is creative and had vision.
PS. Not mine - who has time for a project like that

Other than the color choices being unconventional and probably only to be appreciated by the modder and maybe one other person in the world, I like the execution and effort that went into all the work.
The idea of having the LCD connected and folding down to the keyboard like a laptop makes for a nice "luggable" A1200 to take with you to a friends house and play some two player games over serial connection. I like the general idea and his work looks pretty clean (if you can see past the colors). I would do this with my 68060 A1200 w/USB ports using an old laptop LCD that still works, but I have enough unfinished projects to work on before I start any new ones.

Fairplay.
At least the guy has some devotion. Wonder why he`s selling it afer customising it so much...
-
I would think that this is what he does as a hobby, Mod a A1200 and sell it for as much as he can get on E-bay.
-
Heh, I guess I'm that one other guy  :-D
But can't do the price... Oh well...

This is probably the most practical A1200 laptop mod that I have seen. No need for a custom shell, just screw an LCD panel onto the existing A1200 case and do a bit of rewiring.
That is the biggest laptop power supply that I've ever seen though...

He is better off using a FPGA based amiga : 4 NiMH batteries, a 7" LCD screen and a small keyboard with intergated mousepad then you have a small laptop with 5 hours of battery life.

Interesting mod, pretty neat. I don't think I would pick those colors, but the mod itself is pretty unique.

True, but right now there is no FPGA based AGA Amiga. The Natami would be a good candidate for this, if it were available right now. I think that it's a neat project, even though I'm mainly interested in hardware for Amiga OS 4.x.

It would look OK if it were all black

Although the colors are not to my taste , you really have to appreciate the work that went into modding this A1200 .
Personally i admire the owner for having the guts to do a mod like that ... and even more to be brave enough to paint it that colors :-)
Very clean job though .
Shame its so over priced .
-
It was on eBay a couple of weeks ago as well, but without the *ahem* paint job. I really liked the way it looked before, but now it just hurts my eyes. Shame. :-(
-
I guess it's better than "over-sunshined yellow" ! :)
-
Very nice unit, but it's a real pity he's negated all that hard work with that horrendous colour scheme.
I agree that plain black would've looked the dog's...
Cheers,
Mike.
