Hi All,
I vaguely remember an adventure game I used to play as a kid and I'm sure it was on the Amiga.
It was a text adventure but had some graphics. Like stills of the scenes which changed occasionally when interacted with.
I can only remember the first couple of screens:
One where you find a sword hidden in the grass sword in a field of some sort (very vague).
One where you need to pay a reaper man to get accross the river. If you didn't pay him a coin he killed you half way.
I didn't get very far (haha) but I really want to play it again.
Help would be really appreciated.

This sounds a bit like Shadowgate, but some things don't match. I recall having to pay a boatman to cross a river, but I don't recall him killing you. I could be wrong, and I am commonly so. I'll check it out, as I actually have that game for the amiga.

I don't think it's Shadowgate. I have looked at some screens and on the game that I remember you start outdoors in countryside or a forest. On Shadowgate you start entering a castle. Very similar though!

is "The Pawn" ?

I don't think it's The Pawn either.
Looks pretty awesome though.
The title may have had the word "Quest" in it.
But it wasn't one of the point and click style games like Police Quest or Kings Quest etc.
