Hi All
I am looking to upgrade my Amiga 4000D with a CyberstormPPC 060/50 and was wondering if anyone would part with their's for a reasonable price. :-)
Thanks

There was recently one on ebay. That's ended but may give you an idea of what to expect for "reasonable price".

My bid was the second last bid... It seemed like a nice specimen

That went for not a bad price. The used amiga parts market seems to have been hit by the bad economy too!!!

Not bad, pfffff... some 3 years ago one of those cards would have only fetched a mere 350 US dollars on Ebay. It's only since AOS4 was released for classic Amigas that the prices for PPC cards have skyrocketed. It seems only just fair that the prices are dropping again now.
You can buy yourself a brand new SAM for the same price anyway, and that's a LOT faster than the Cyberstorm.

Looking at AmigaKit's prices itd cost you alot more for a fully configured SAM. Even using the lower cost Flex version of the board, once you've added the case, hard drive, keyboard etc its well over £500.

Slightly more than I wanted to spend....although if it's in great condition and in working order, I would consider it.
While looking through Ebay, there was a Blizzard PPC for A1200 that went for less, so why is a CyberstormPPC going for so much more? I like the questions, I was going to ask how much to post to the UK....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200332251690 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200332251690)

I remember that extremely rare A3000Tower was sold for 380pounds (Uk ePay)....500p is a pure speculation, it's not a reasonable price anymore

Define "fully configured" then.
A 667MHz SAM costs £405 at Amigakit, and for the remaining 115 pounds I'm sure I can find a case, keyboard, mouse etc. to make it a fully working system. Now if you want a high-spec SAM with a very cool case then indeed you need to spend a lot more, but just for comparison you can't disagree that you can have a workable SAM system for 520 quid.
Of course you'll need to add 100+ for AOS4.1 but you'll need to pay that for the CSPPC version as well...

Who mentioned os4, which you have to buy for sam if you want an amiga os, where as you can continue running 3.9 on A4000

Whats the major differences between the OS 3.9, 4.0 & 4.1? Would there be any advantages in updating apart from the way each one looks?
Does a SAM allow you to program Amiga games and demos, play Amiga games and apps?

Then you don't need a PPC. I had a BlizzardPPC once but I hardly found it more useful with 3.9 than the 68060.
The fact that prices for PPC cards went up with the release of OS4.0 indicates that people want it for 4.0. Nobody in their right mind buys a PPC card only to use it with 3.9, not anymore at least. Hence my mention of OS4.
