Title: Cant setup Genesis

Ive been trying to setup genesis .

But the Wizard keeps saying "Your local IP-Addess couldn't be obtained from the network . Do you know your local Ip-Addess?"

Well , Ok for some reason it can't find my IP address ...

But i dont know how to get my Local IP address , router etc..

:-(

Any help will be appreciated

I connected my PCMCIA network card to my router ... Its a Thompson router/Adsl modem/wifi

Hi There is no DHCP in in Genesis, you use static IP address.

BUT there is fix of that in aminet

http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/dhcp_amitcp

If you don't want to use that, problem has a another solution.

You need to find out what kind of ip that thompson offers to your computer.

If offers private ip ie. 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, where x= any number between 1-255

If you have windows machine in your network just wrote ipconfig in command prompt and press enter.

You can configure Gensis use static ip address, you just need to find out what is DHCP pool that thompson uses and conficure IP which is out of that.
