Hi,
I've had the Denise adapter for the PicassoIV since '97 or '98 -- bought it new. It's been out of my A2000 for a while, and now I can't remember what the orientation is for installing it. Do the ribbon cable attachments go toward the back of the A2000, covering Paula, or toward the front of the A2000, toward the mouse ports?? I can't find ANY directions on paper or online for this thing! There also doesn't seem to be any way to tell which way the ribbon cables connect. Once the board is installed, is "pin one" on the *left* or *right* of the connectors? Help! Agh!
I bet last time I took it out of the A2000 I thought "there is no way I could forget how this was put in here."
Thanks,
t

No idea about A2000, this is how it sits in my A500T:

Probably you find some similarity.

Thank you! Do you remember which way the ribbon connects?
Is the red side of the ribbon on the upper pins of your picture, or the bottom pins?
Again, thanks!

Denise adapter for PIV, have I missed something ? The PIV has this little break off part connected by ribbons that goes into the videoslot when intsalled into an A2000.
Is this Denis eadapter the same but only let's you leave the PIV intakt ?

Yes! Also great for the A2000 when you would like to have a Toaster in the video slot.
I have uploaded two photos to the photo album.

Sorry, PIV has been transferred to A4000 years ago and cables, too. Don't remember now.

BTW,
I still have some Denise adapter pcbs. If someone is interested I could try to get the parts and assemble some.

No, the PIV needs to be snapped to use it. Otherwise the 'pixelbus' would get multiple drivers and thats for sure not a good thing.

Just to clarify - even with the denise adapter, the PIV must still be snapped in order to use the flifi within an A2000? So the denise adpater essentially replaces the "snapped" section, and the cables from the adapter attach to the connectors on the main section of the card?
(Sitting here pondering the sacrilege of snapping my PIV... :P)

I'm just sitting here pondering what it would be like to just have a Picasso IV. The last one I saw went for more money that I can afford at this junction in my life. I wouldn't mind having one someday though....
