Hi what is best way to get games work with rtg master?
Problem is that games don't found libraries, no matter where they are.
-
Just run the installer...
http://aminet.net/driver/video/rtgmaster_user.lha
is v42.0 - I think it's what I've installed even when newer versions do exist - no bigger problems to run games thru it.
-
I've exactly that same and I don't have anything else than problems :(
Is there somewhere in my workbench drive, some kind of general preference file for rtg master?

What kind of games are you trying to o run? Most of the OS-Friendly ones should auto-detect an RTG environment. (Picasso96 seems to have a CGFX compatibility layer, though I've had a few minor probs with it, having just gone RTG in the last 2 weeks myself) Adoom, Descent, etc.. should be OK, and actually prefer RTG. If you're running older games VIA whdload or similar, theres really no chance of getting them on an RTG monitor, they'll just go over the AGA/ECS output. (Why I have 2 monitors hooked up until I can get a switch) If you're lucky, some games seem to deal with mode promotion utilities like newmode pretty well, most however will crash & burn. (I just try one, see if it works, and hit the 3-finger salute if not :D )

Those games that you mentioned don't use rtg master. Rtg master is used games like Nightlong, Genetic species, Napalm etc, Napalm is the only one wich found rtg master libraries.

Some version of Descent uses RTGMaster AFAIR.

The only exception I know of to that would be some GFX cards that have a built-in scandoubler and pass-trhough. My father had one on his A4000, think its a picasso. If you have an amiga w/o the correct (Zorro?) slot, you're SOL with that, too. Though I have been eying up some scandoublers designed for video game systems on Amazon and Ebay, these seem to have both VGA and S-Video adapters, which would be easily adapted to an RGB port, not sure if they auto-switch, though. I'll post a link if I can manage to find one again.

Problem is that rtg master says that it can't found rtg master libraries :( snoopdos doesn't say where it tries to found them.
There are rtg master folder in prefs:env if your rtg master libraries work what you have there?
Yeaster day I removed all rtg master stuff from my system, after that I reinstalled it, only result was that Napalmn didn't work anymore.

rtgmaster is notorious for being buggy as the hot place. The developers should be seriously punished for ever releasing something that bad.
