For 680x0 machines? If so, that's great news. I like iBrowse, but LOVE AWeb (not the continual and annoying screen refreshes though)  :-)

Where can I get latest sources of AWeb APL? I've downloaded the m68k version from Aminet, and it seems to be missing some vital files, like Charsets.

How can you be so certain? and will it be CSS capable?

Best bet for a CSS capable browser for 68k seems to be NetSurf, which is being actively developed.

bzzt. http://aminet.net/comm/www/Netsurf-m68k.lha

Haven't tried the latest one myself, but one of the earlier ones looked pretty nice on my 3000T running 3.9.

As for AWeb vs iBrowse, I lean heavily towards iBrowse.  AWeb seems even slower and less compatible with today's web than iBrowse.

NetSurf for 68k is functional and the last release I have tried v3.0 (http://aminet.net/package/comm/www/Netsurf-m68k) is pretty good. However the draw back is that it currently relies on SDL and only works on a 32bit screen, although this is being worked on.

Netsurf (been an SDL, linux, whatever port) runs slow on classic Amigas and it hogs a lot of memory. It even lacks javascript support, etc.
AWeb on the other hand is made for AmigaOS. I would like to see this project progressing and a new version without the awful, constant window refreshes, as save2600 said

For the constant window refresh problem, go to the browser settings and enable the "Use double buffered rendering" and use or save the settings.

I was using this option, but it makes scrolling much slower and i disabled it in Aweb and SimpleMail. Some graphics cards like Voodoo's are not affected by this. C/BVisions are, though.

I used to use AWeb all the time, as I had purchased a couple versions of it before it went Open Source.  It is nice to see that progress is still being made on it and I hope that there will also be a native PPC version released some day (if there already is one, I have not been keeping up with the progress being made).

I don't know if AWeb has been worked on lately, as it is no longer hosted at http://aweb.sunsite.dk/. Now the site says

aweb
Project hosting terminated
As of April 2009 dotsrc.org (formerly SunSITE.dk) has been in the process of shutting down the project hosting part. Since we started open source hosting more than 10 years ago, Sourceforge, Freshmeat, Launchpad and a bunch of others have emerged. We don't see the big need for us doing this any more, and will focus on other services.

If you are the project owner of aweb please contact staff (at) dotsrc.org to get a copy of your project data.

To make sure users will still be able to find this project in the future we will be happy to setup a redirection to the projects new home.

Regards,
Dotsrc.org Staff

I wish I could get the latest sources of it before April as I would like to look into its UTF8 support. In fact, I failed to found any AWeb APL sources on the net at all!

Versions for OS4 and MorphOS exist since ages. :)

there has to be some way to contact the developers. UTF8 support is the most important missing feature for me! I consider it much more important than CSS.

Correct me if I am wrong, but just because it runs on AO4 and MorphOS does not mean its native PPC.  I would be supprised if it was.

Of course there are PPC native version of AWeb - since ages. The last one was done by Andy as a special OS4.1 compile from the OS4 sources (v3.5 beta 9):
