Title: OS4.1 on PS3
Post by: Tension on March 26, 2009, 02:10:03 AM
Hi all,

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47538

Is anyone still working on this?  Seems people say it`ll be crap because of the Hypervisor, but surely it can`t be all that bad.  I mean, if Linux is useable then 4.1 should be usable I would have thought.

What a way to expand the Amiga user base.

Probably to good to be true. Pfffffft.

I though the HyperVisor had been cracked already... a quick Google search brought out results like THIS (http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/31/ps3-homebrew-hack-found-hello-world/)

Maybe the problem is that it's not legally possible to sell anything using that...
There was also an internal SDK for the XBox360 leaked that worked IIRC, so maybe we just need to wait for a few pissed off employees laid off by Sony  8-)

Surely legality cant be a problem. As long as it can run without the crack, there`s no problem.  If people decide to crack their PS3, then that`s their decision.

Is the project dead?
