Title: Source For Low Profile Heat Sinks for 68060?
Post by: dannyp1 on March 08, 2009, 05:32:42 AM
Does anyone know of a source to buy low profile heat sinks for Motorola 060's?  An aluminum one would work good but I can't seem to find the proper size (appx. 1 7/8 X 1 7/8).  It is for putting on a CS MKII for in an A3000D.  The only ones I could find on EBay were too small.  I looked on Amigakit and saw nothing?  Maybe somebody knows of a source or is better at googling than me.   Dan

I've been using these (http://www.enzotechnology.com/slf_1.htm) or these (http://www.enzotechnology.com/cnb_s1l.htm). I'm not sure how much room is left in the A3K, but the CNB-S1L clears in my A1200 desktop case with an Apollo 1260 (pretty tight fit).

I'd have thought a heatsink made for a modern PC northbridge would suffice, possibly one for a 486 would do as well... (good luck finding one of those however).

i found the best ones were from broken/old graphics cards, they are very low profile and come with fans.
