Title: Identifying Small Daughter Card on A2000 Rev. 6.2 MB
Post by: Sandman on March 04, 2009, 05:40:27 PM
Hi,

Just wondering here.  On my A2000 Rev. 6.2 MB is a small Daughter card mounted next to the ROM (actually between the ROM and the MB RAM).  I have another Rev. 6.2 MB that just has a couple of DIPS mounted here directly on the MB, so I was just curious what the purpose of the daughter card was.  Earlier version MB maybe?

Thanks,
Tim

Maybe a MegaChip? Does it have the Agnus chip in it?

Naw, it has a 1mb Agnus chip in it but this daughterboard in near the front of the mb just to the right of the ROM.  I try to snap a picture of it later tonight.

Any text or numbers on it? Maybe pull it out and look on the bottom too.

You know I believe that it is not socketed... soldered right to the board.
