Title: OS 3.9 AWeb issues

Hi,

I'm trying to get my 1200 running OS 3.9 on the internet via a wireless lan card (using my home network).

I should have everything I need (AmigaKit wireless PCMCIA, EasyNet CD) but I'm having a few issues.

I installed AWeb last night only to discover that it uses ClassAct which is older that OS 3.9's ReAction and this has stuffed up my OS :(

I've also downloaded IBrowse but this also uses another old GUI toolset (MUI), are there any browsers that use ReAction?

Anyway, has anyone got any ideas on how to repair my OS or do I have to just re-installed OS 3.9?

AWeb uses the latest ReAction from AmigaOS3.9. You need to use the version of AWeb from here...

The versions of AWeb on the Amitrix site and on the AmigaOS 3.9 CD are old but still should work with ReAction. I use AWeb and AmigaOS 3.9 version of Genesis and have few problems. If you still get requesters about ClassAct being out of date then check your AmigaOS 3.9 installation or reinstall it. Do you have the Boing Bag updates installed?

Maybe it was just an old version AWeb (it was on the EasyNet CD).  I didn't know anything about ClassAct or ReAction until today  :-(

It appears that if you're running OS 3.5+ (eg ReAction) then you shouldn't be installing any applications that use ClassAct because it's older and incompatible.

I'm running OS 3.9 with both BB's installed.

Now I can't do anything much in WB (eg view text, execute commands etc etc)....it's completely stuffed.

Copy everything from the 'AmigaOS3.9:OS-Version3.9/Workbench3.9/Classes' drawer to your harddisk and reinstall boing bag 1 & 2.
