Title: Wanted: Miamisslusa.library or whatever encryption file...
Post by: save2600 on February 24, 2009, 06:08:07 PM
Sent an inquiry to the author for this free file, but the site and him for that matter, seem to have disappeared.

I've downloaded AmiSSL off of Aminet and even the MiamiSSL installation program. I still do not have what I need to complete this installation. When I try, a requester pops up and says I need to have this 'encryption library' file. I believe it is called Miamisslusa.library, but could be wrong. Documentation and info is very vague/misleading here. One doc talks about the aforementioned file, another talks about an encryption library of some kind. Yet another document talks about versions 1, 2 & 3 libraries too. lol

Thanks in advance for any pointers, instructions, downloads, etc.

BTW: I'm running a registered copy of MiamiDx if that helps.

You shouldn't need MiamiSSL if you already have AmiSSL. There must be a checkbox or something to choose between these 2 versions AFAIK.

I installed AmiSSL version 3 last night and was able to log into https: sites with iBrowse (box is unchecked to use MiamiSSL) . Saw the little key icon pop up and mentioned 256-bit IIRC (yes, just downloaded the USA version).

I believe AWeb only does SSL ala MiamiSSL as I do not see a checkbox option anywhere in Aweb-II 3.3 that allows non-TCP SSL.
