Hello!
Here´s the deal:
I have a plain A500 with 512 mem exp.
And i have surfed the aminet for some great software..
But i allways fail to use them for some reason :P
For example! This evening i downloaded this: http://aminet.net/package/biz/misc/Banker-0.99a
I unzipped it on my pc, and then with amiga explorer uploaded it to the amiga´s RAM disk just to try it out.
Opened up a shell, wrote: RAM:banker
get a software failure and guru meditation.
Is this the wrong way to approche it or what am i doing wrong?
In the sofware info it says m68k guess thats for Motorola 68000, thats the right one?
Using workbench 1.3.3 maybe a to old workbench version?
Thankful for any help!

68000, 68020, 68030, 68040...
I think this software is for the latter ones, since it requires MUI. So in this case, I guess it isn't compatible with a plain A500, you probably need a beefier machine. Don't know what else you tried... Maybe start with something simple?

Yea, it looks like that app requires MUI, so it won't work without MUI.
Also - You should be able to go to RAM from the Workbench, and double click an icon to run the app.

1. Amiga is more than just Amiga 500 my friend. Amiga is so much more and you havent seen its potential by using an Amiga 500.
You can do following things:
A)
Get an Amiga 1200 with atleast 68030 CPU card! An HD and AmigaOS v3.1. Then install and register whdload. With this you can run A500 software etc from the HD.
B)
Get a next-gen Amiga like AmigaOne or Pegasos or Efika or sam440p.
To get most of MUI programs to run I recommend AmigaOS 3.1, AmigaOS 4.1 or MorphOS.
Good luck :)
